Day 1 - getting to Hawaii

Because we want to minimize the amount of time we spend in the air and at airports, we are taking the only flight in the whole system that goes directly to Lihue from Seattle. That would be Alaska Air flight 853. Unfortunatly, it doesn't leave until 4:30 PM which after the baggage and car rental dance and 45 minute drive won't get us to our condo until 10PM (12 PST) at the earliest!
The weather we are leaving behind is gorgeous - sunny, crisp air and Fall colors.
